We watch the road glisten with each raindrop, battering a yellow-green leaf lying in a bitter puddle. Huddled at a busstop, the dark line of wet concrete nearly reaches our toes. Intermingled fingers.   Hot whispers in my ear. Dreading letting go of Chestnut Eyes. A cold, lonely walk home.
